This page is probably out of date the data here was last used by me in 2005.
This is an initial tuning data file for using with the program "scan" from the dvb-utils package with Debian/Ubuntu GNU/Linux. This will allow you to tune a DVB-T card (also known as Freeview) when you are using the Tacolneston mast in East Anglia (AIUI mainly Norfolk) in the United Kingdom.
I have put this file here because when I tried to find one already created for Tacolneston there wasn't one and since then the only ones I have found online don't actually work as they have the wrong settings in them.
This file has been tested using Ubuntu 5.10 (Breezy Badger) and should work for all distros the card I am using is a Twinhan DST DVB-T card (again, it should work for all cards, at least one person I know used it to tune an Avermedia card). Of course, it may be wrong, or not work at all (but it works for me, so that is a good start!), if you have improvements, suggestions or bugfixes then let me know! (and let me know if you use it and it works!)
Anyhow, the lines are :
# UK Tacolneston # T freq bw fec_hi fec_lo mod transmission-mode guard-interval hierarchy T 730166670 8MHz 3/4 NONE QAM16 2k 1/32 NONE
